LED Lightbulb Project

The client has requested a set of plans for proposing the manufacture of an LED lightbulb. The
overall end goal will be several documents detailing the lightbulb design, workflows, assembly timeline,
and production capabilities. My task is to prototype several lightbulbs and prepare for developing
manufacturing plans for your final design.

RC Filter with PWM Signals

This project is to construct an RC filter circuit that creates a near-sawtooth shape from a PWM signal output from a Raspberry Pi. The conditions for your filter are as follows:
  • The filter must be designed for a 1000 Hz PWM signal
  • You must design the filter to have less than 5% error between cycles for a 25%, 50% and 75% duty cycle
  • You must be able to construct your filter using parts available from the engineering lab

Lighting Feedback Loop

The goal of this project is to program and construct a feedback system for a light.
  • Prove that you understand the feedback loop block diagram that you constructed.1.
  • Prove that your ambient light intensity vs. light output correlation is valid.
  • Prove that your power output for your light decreases with increasing ambient light.

Vertical Axis

Wind Turbine

The goal of this project is to program and construct a Vertical Axis wind Turbine and test with different blades and wind speeds.

RC Car

The goal of this project is to program and construct a RC Car equipped with a Lidar Sensor to detect the distance of an object and a Hall-Effect Sensor to calculate the velocity of the car. The car is controlled remotely using an IR Controller. A Raspberry Pi was used to complete the project.
